From an urban point of view, it converted the town into an era of splendor, with the construction of various notable buildings which respond to this peak time. One of the buildings conserved is the Casas Consistoriales, or the Town Hall, built by two architects: Francisco Ródenas, who began the project in 1889, and Francisco de Paula Oliver Rolandi who continued it in 1891. Rolandi would later design the Cartagena Town Hall building. The building has three floors and a basement. The first floor is highlighted by the old mayor’s office and the Plenary Room, with rich ornamentation in handcrafts, wall decoration, curtains and furniture from the period. The exterior shows a unique, beautiful zinc shrine. The building is considered a Site of Cultural Interest.
